Details
on the new AMAKATARINA
-
She will be the largest vessel sailing
on the Volga River.
-
The newly renovated vessel will have 106
cabins of which 76 will have balconies.
-
She was built in the 1980’s, but is now
being stripped down to the raw steel for
re-construction.
-
She will be exclusively chartered to
AMAWATERWAYS.
-
The inaugural sailing of the
reconstructed vessel will be May 10,
2011.
-
Despite her size, she will have only 106
cabins for just 212 guests.
-
Just to give an idea of the average size
of her passenger accommodation, Amakatarina
will have 24,025 square feet of space
dedicated to her 106 guest rooms while
the newly remodeled Viking vessels have
the same number of cabins (106), but
have only 16,793 square feet of space
dedicated to accommodation. This means
on average, Amakatarina’s staterooms are
43% larger.
-
There will be fourteen 11-night voyages
scheduled throughout the season.
-
She will cruise between Moscow and St.
Petersburg with the first two nights
onboard docked in Moscow, followed by a
6-night cruise and then followed by 3-nights
onboard in St. Petersburg. The same
number of nights would be applied to the
itinerary in reverse. See the tentative
day-by-day
nautical itineraries below. The
preliminary included and optional
excursions are also noted.
